          For broadcast numbers, one ratings point = 1,008,000
     homes.  For cable, "COV AREA" = % of homes tuned in to that
     program in that network's universe of subscribers. 
          NBA: NBC's rating for Game Four of the Pacers-Lakers
     NBA Finals was up 9% from Game Four of the Knicks-Spurs in
     '99, which drew a 12.0/22.  The four-game Finals average is
     an 11.1/20, down 2% from an 11.3/21 in '99 (NBC)....CTV's
     ratings for the NBA playoffs are up 80% from last year, when
     the net averaged a "remarkably small" 128,000 viewers.  This
     year, the number is up to 229,000 viewers (Toronto GLOBE &
     MAIL, 6/16).  In Toronto, Chris Zelkovich writes that CTV's
     audiences for the Finals are up 43% over last year, with an
     average of 487,000 viewers per game (TORONTO STAR, 6/16).
          NHL: ABC's four-game coverage (Games Three through Six)
     of the Stars-Devils Stanley Cup Finals earned a 3.7/8, up 9%
     from Fox' three-game coverage (Games One, Two and Five) of
     the Sabres-Stars series in '99, which drew a 3.4/6 (ABC). 
     ESPN's coverage for Games One and Two of the Stanley Cup
     Finals produced a 2.0 rating (1,533,747 HHs).  Game One drew
     a 1.9/(1,493,149) and Game Two drew a 2.0/(1,575,498).  For
     the playoffs, ESPN saw a 15% viewership increase in males
     18-49, from 1.3 million to 1.5 million this year (ESPN).
          PGA/SENIOR PGA: ABC's third-round rating on Saturday
     for the Buick Classic was down 23% from last year's 2.2/7,
     while Sunday's coverage was even with '99 (ABC).  The SBC
     Open was known as the Ameritech Open last year.  CBS' third
     round rating on Saturday was down 31% from last year's
     1.6/5, while Sunday's coverage was down 5% from a 1.9/5 in
     '99.  The two-day total for CBS was a 1.4/4, down 22% from a
     1.8/6 in '99 (CBS).

On this week’s pod, SBJ’s Austin Karp has two Big Get interviews. The first is with TNT’s Stan Van Gundy as he breaks down the NBA Playoffs from the booth.
