FACILITY NOTES

          WSJ.com's David Sweet profiles NY-based CSI Inc.'s
ChoiceSeat technology, which has recently signed deals to
install its interactive system at MSG and Tropicana Field.
But "resistance remains" to the technology, as the MLB
Giants didn't install ChoiceSeats at Pac Bell Park because
fans surveyed "rejected even the concept of any computer
monitor at their seats." Giants Senior VP/Marketing Tom
McDonald: "People were going to a ballgame to get away from
the intrusiveness of technology" (WALL ST JOURNAL, 5/31).
NOTES: In Dallas, Steve Brown reports that a 30-story
skyscraper next to American Airlines Center "will house" Tom
Hicks' company and business offices for his Stars and
Rangers. The facility will "have 700,000 square feet of
space and cost about $100 million" (DALLAS MORNING NEWS,
5/31)....A DETROIT NEWS editorial, on the "lackluster
attendance" at the new Comerica Park: "What has become
strikingly clear ... is that Comerica Park still must be
considered a work in progress, and its success is not yet
assured." There have been "complaints" about the cost of
tickets, while "food prices are also merciless. ... Then
there is the question of service, or lack thereof." The
editorial concluded, "There is no disaster in the making
here. ... But the customers must see some earnest efforts,
and soon, addressing these problems" (DETROIT NEWS, 5/30).
