AFTER SIX MONTHS, NHLE BOSS RICHIE WOODWORTH RESIGNS POST

NHL Enterprises President RICHIE WOODWORTH is resigning
after six months on the job, according to Terry Lefton of
BRANDWEEK ONLINE, who reported that Woodworth will "continue
at the league at least through the Stanley Cup Playoffs, but
should leave by July at the latest." Woodworth has been
commuting from suburban Boston to the NHL offices in
Manhattan since accepting the job and "found himself
unwilling to relocate." Woodworth: "I left the job at Greg
Norman [Collection] because I didn't like all the commuting
I was doing to New York. And while I've always been a
hockey nut and thought it would be great to work at the
league, that still wasn't enough." Lefton: "Insiders say
that Woodworth's departure likely portends a further re-org
of NHL marketing responsibilities" (BRANDWEEK ONLINE, 5/24).
