Fogdog Sports Chair Brett Allsop has resigned from the
company and its board. The company said Allsop will be
succeeded by Fogdog Dir Ralph Parks. Private investor Fred
Gibbons also resigned from the board (Fogdog). The WALL
STREET JOURNAL reports that Fogdog "has seen a sharp decline
in its stock price," which closed yesterday at $2.375, off
$0.43, compared with a 52-week high of $22. Fogdog "said
its plan to re-evaluate" int'l operations led Allsop to move
on to new opportunities. Allsop headed the company's Fogdog
International unit (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 5/25).
STOCK DIP: BRIDGE NEWS' Jennifer Allen reported that
shares of SportsLine.com were "sharply lower" yesterday,
"pressured to new 52-week lows as the Internet content
sector remains weak." SportsLine.com closed at 11 1/18,
down 1 7/16 or 11%, having "etched out" a new 52-week low at
10 1/2 in earlier action. The 52-week high is 83 1/4.
SportsLine.com Dir of Investor Relations Larry Wahl said
that "the company knows of no reason for Wednesday's sell-
off." Meanwhile, Quokka Sports also set a new 52-week low
at 3 1/2 before closing at 3 11/16 (BRIDGE NEWS, 5/24).
