advised the BOD that he will not renew his contract, which
expires in December. ESS Senior VP/Production, Operations &
Engineering RIK DOVEY will be promoted to Managing Dir when

Brown "has been in Asia for nine years, from the growth of

Calautti will be based in the DC law office of Baker &
Hostetler and will report to WILLIAM SCHWEITZER, who will
coordinate all of MLB's government relations. MLB closed
its DC lobbying office a few months ago (AP, 5/17)....In
Pittsburgh, Ed Bouchette reports that Steelers chief
contract negotiator DAN FERENS, who spent 19 years in the
team's front office, "will take charge" of the pro football
financial planning division for IMG's new venture with
Merrill Lynch (PITTSBURGH POST-GAZETTE, 5/18)....In San
Antonio, Jennifer Bellis reports that the Spurs will
announce today the hiring of CLARISSA DAVIS-WRIGHTSIL as the
team's Dir of Development for Women's Basketball. She will
coordinate the team's efforts to obtain a WNBA franchise by
2003. Davis-Wrightsil also will serve as Dir of the
Coalition for Women's Basketball (SAN ANTONIO EXPRESS-NEWS,
