          SLOC Managing Dir of Event Operations DOUG ARNOT is
     "being sued" by UT resident RICHARD VAN ORDEN in connection
     with a March 29 incident in which Arnot "allegedly punched
     Van Orden in the face through the driver's side window" of
     Arnot's car (SALT LAKE TRIBUNE, 4/25)....NV-based sports
     agent ROBERT WALSH and his associate NATE CEBRUN were
     arrested Monday on warrants charging them with violating AL
     law, as they allegedly provided $2,500 to former Auburn
     Univ. basketball player CHRIS PORTER (Mult., 4/25).
          THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT! Bills QB DOUG FLUTIE will play
     himself in a "sports comedy being made" for TNT, which tells
     the story of the Bills "losing their entire first string to
     food poisoning on the eve of the playoffs and having to
     hustle to find fill-ins" for the Super Bowl.  JON VOIGHT
     will star as the Bills coach (TORONTO SUN, 4/26)....BILLY
     CRYSTAL has "drafted" actor BARRY PEPPER as his "second
     slugger" in an HBO movie entitled "61," a movie about the
     "competition between" ROGER MARIS and MICKEY MANTLE to break
     BABE RUTH's HR record in '61.  Pepper will play Maris
     (HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, 4/26)...."SPORTS NIGHT" will return to
     ABC with original episodes May 9 and 16, "bumping its
     midseason replacement, 'Talk to Me'" (USA TODAY, 4/26).
     ...Celebrities scheduled to make appearances in NBA.COM's
     Celebrity Fashion Show tomorrow night at the NBA Store in
     N.Y. include actress CARMEN ELECTRA, rapper ICE CUBE, and
     models KYLIE BAX and MARCUS SCHENKENBERG.  The show will be
     seen live on NBA.com and on NBA.com TV (THE DAILY).

TNT’s Stan Van Gundy, ESPN’s Tim Reed, NBA Playoffs and NFL Draft

On this week’s pod, SBJ’s Austin Karp has two Big Get interviews. The first is with TNT’s Stan Van Gundy as he breaks down the NBA Playoffs from the booth. Later in the show, we hear from ESPN’s VP of Programming and Acquisitions Tim Reed as the NFL Draft gets set to kick off on Thursday night in Motown. SBJ’s Tom Friend also joins the show to share his insights into NBA viewership trends.
