THEY HOPE EVERYONE WANTS TO BE A COWBOY THIS WEEKEND, BABY

The Cowboys plan to use Saturday's NFL Draft "as a
showcase" for Owner Jerry Jones' "campaign to vault ahead of
other sports franchises on the Internet," according to
Richard Alm of the DALLAS MORNING NEWS. Cowboys execs said
the Web site will give "fans an insider's look at the
selection process," and streaming video will follow Jones
and head coach Dave Campo in the team's "war room" when the
Cowboys make their first pick. After the selection, users
will "be able to eavesdrop on the telephone call" that Jones
places to the drafted player. After the call, the team will
conduct an Internet chat with the signee, taking questions
from fans via e-mail. During the first round of Saturday's
draft, Jones and Campo will also provide comments on other
teams' selections on the site (DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 4/14).
