TOUGH GUY PETER VECSEY READY TO TANGLE WITH MARK CUBAN?

During Tuesday night's NBA coverage on TNT, analyst
Peter Vecsey responded to prospective Mavs Owner Mark Cuban
calling him an "idiot" (See THE DAILY, 3/24). Vecsey: "This
from a guy who signed Dennis Rodman. So, where is his
credibility? Ride or die, Mark. Come into the studio,
Mark. I challenge you to come into the studio, and we will
handle this verbally or whatever. ... Come on Mark! Bring
it on, Mark. Bring it on." Turner Sports analyst Kenny
Smith, on Vecsey: "He might be an idiot, but he's our idiot"
(TNT, 3/28). Cuban responded to Vecsey's "challenge" by
saying that it is a "win-win situation" for Vecsey. Cuban:
"It's easy to make the challenge. The problem of saying
'yes' is that it's on his court. He controls the time. He
can set it up so he gets five minutes to ramble and I get 10
seconds. There's no chance in a situation like that" (Dwain
     Price, F.W. STAR-TELEGRAM, 3/30).
