AFTER LANDING BILL BURKE, RSN FEELS FIRE ON THE MOUNTAIN

Former TBS Superstation and Turner South President BILL
BURKE has been named President & CEO of ME-based Resort
Sports Networks (RSN), which "consists of a Web site and
cable network available in major resorts dedicated to
mountain sports" (HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, 3/28). RSN provides
mountain resorts with reports of weather and "lifestyle
programming through five owned low-power TV stations and a
Web site." DAILY VARIETY's John Dempsey reports that RSN
Founder RORY STRUNK "says the privately held company will
report next month that its second round of financing has
raised $25 million, elevating RSN's value to $90 million."
Burke will "work on expanding the RSN.com Web site," tying
it together with TV stations and reinforcing the service it
already sells to affiliated TV stations in resort areas not
covered by the RSN O&Os (DAILY VARIETY, 3/28).
