LEVY-ING THE TRUTH: SPORTSLINE SAYS TOTAL SPORTS TALKS DEAD

SportsLine.com Founder & Chair Michael Levy said
yesterday that the company had "held talks to acquire" Total
Sports, but the talks are "now dead," according to David
Sweet of the WALL STREET JOURNAL INTERACTIVE. Levy said
reports of a Total Sports acquisition were "completely in
error." Levy: "It's a definite that we're not buying them."
Levy "wouldn't say how far the talks advanced or when they
started." News of the rumored sale sent SportsLine's shares
dropping 5.5% yesterday, or $2.0625, to close at $35.25
     (WALL STREET JOURNAL INTERACTIVE, 3/28).
