SPORTS ON THE WEB: MLBPA INKS DEAL WITH ATHLETESDIRECT

          The MLBPA has entered into an exclusive licensing
     relationship with AthletesDirect which calls for
     AthletesDirect's MLB player sites to be linked to the
     players' respective sites on the official MLBPA Web site at
     www.bigleaguers.com.  The deal also calls for AthletesDirect
     to feature MLBPA-licensed products on its site and link its
     baseball storefront to bigleaguers.com (AthletesDirect).    
          KG ONLINE: T'Wolves F Kevin Garnett, on his
     AthletesDirect.com Web site: "I'm very involved in that. 
     It's probably the best Web site [among athletes].  I'm not
     just pumping it because it's my own -- I'm very into it, and
     I check out other guys' sites" (STAR TRIBUNE, 3/23).
