HICKS GROUP TO BRING IN TECH PARTNER ON PARK DEVELOPMENT?

Southwest Sports Group President & COO Mike Cramer said
he wants the development around The Ballpark in Arlington to
be the "most technologically advanced development in the
area" and added that he wants to partner with a technology
company, according to Sean Wood of the FT. WORTH STAR-
TELEGRAM. Cramer: "It could be part of a naming rights
deal. They don't have to do it that way, but we could put
them throughout the complex. But if they're smart, they'll
help us design the complex." Southwest owns the development
rights to the 270 acres around The Ballpark, and the company
is "developing computer models of the kind of project that
might work there." The company has been "trying to come up
with a development plan for the 270 acres around" The
Ballpark since Tom Hicks bought the Rangers and the rights
to the land in '98. Cramer said that he "wants the project
to be a model city that a development partner could use to
market their services to other customers as well as
customers within the development" (STAR-TELEGRAM, 3/23).
