          Palace Sports & Entertainment Partner ROBERT SOSNICK
     died Thursday after a "lengthy illness" (DETROIT FREE PRESS,
     3/18)....A&E presents, "INVESTIGATIVE REPORTS, OUR CHILDREN
     AT RISK: PLAYING TO EXTREMES," tonight at 9:00pm ET, and the
     N.Y. TIMES' Walter Goodman writes the report shows that the
     pressure on youngsters to excel in sports "is more manic
     than ever" (N.Y. TIMES, 3/20)....In Philadelphia, golf
     writer Joe Logan examined the new E-Club, which might "turn
     out to be this season's rage" among club technology.  The
     club was designed and conceived by SI Senior Writer MICHAEL
     BAMBERGER, who has signed NICK PRICE to endorse the club
     (PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER, 3/19)....In N.Y., Robert Bryce
     profiled Clear Channel Communications Chair L. LOWRY MAYS. 
     Mays noted his company's new stable of athletes after its
     acquisition of SFX Entertainment: "I'd be embarrassed to
     play tennis with ANDRE [AGASSI]. [But] I wouldn't mind
     playing golf with [MICHAEL] JORDAN" (N.Y. TIMES, 3/19).
     ...SLAM's Chris Stevenson wrote that Red Wings coach SCOTTY
     BOWMAN, in an effort to get SERGEI FEDOROV to "play his best
     hockey, has been doing what he can to try and help Fedorov
     win" ANNA KOURNIKOVA back from PAVEL BURE.  Bowman sent
     Fedorov to AZ on the "team's charter (it belongs to the
     Phoenix Suns and was going there anyway)," and Fedorov
     showed up with 20-dozen roses (SLAM, 3/19)....CBA Owner
     ISIAH THOMAS is "building a home in Atlanta that will be
     headquarters for the CBA" (ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, 3/20).
