          Gary Player signed a two-year deal to provide
     commentary for three of Shell's Wonderful World of Golf
     matches a year as the series' Global Ambassador.  Player
     will wear the Shell logo on his shirt in all tournaments and
     events, and Shell gets rights to use Player's name and
     likeness in marketing and advertising (Shell)....Darlington
     Raceway President Jim Hunter said that Mall.com "will
     evaluate" whether or not to renew its title sponsorship of
     the facility's spring Winston Cup race, which was held
     yesterday.  Mall.com President & CEO Larry Latham said that
     the company's "relationship with Darlington is also with its
     parent organization," ISC, and added, "I understand the
     significance of this track.  So it would be my hope that it
     continues to thrive" (AP, 3/19)....IRL driver Buzz Calkins
     announced yesterday that he would have CAN (Cure Autism Now)
     as a sponsor for the Indy 500.  The "non-profit" CAN was
     "originally scheduled to field" a CART team, but "couldn't
     raise that kind of money so this deal was brokered by actor
     Anthony Edwards" of "ER" fame (INDIANAPOLIS STAR, 3/20).
