PANTHERS RAISE TICKET PRICES FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 5 YEARS

The NFL Panthers will raise ticket prices for the 2000
season, the first increase in five years, according to Steve
Reed of the GASTON GAZETTE. Prices will increase $3 per
ticket in the upper bowl and $5 per ticket in the lower
bowl, and on average, the price of attending a Panthers home
game will increase by 9% this season, "or about" $4.72 per
ticket. With Ericsson Stadium's seating capacity of 73,250,
the team "could make an additional" $3.45M in revenue for
the season if every game sells out (GASTON GAZETTE, 3/16).
In Charlotte, Pat Yasinskas writes that premium seat prices
will increase according to PSL agreements, divided into two
categories: six-year agreements will increase by 3%, and the
ten-year agreements will rise by 2% (CHARL. OBSERVER, 3/16).
