MJ THE WEB HEAD: JORDAN TO JOIN CHICAGO WEB FIRM'S BOD

MICHAEL JORDAN will join the Board of Directors of
Chicago-based Divine interVentures, which invests in
     Internet-related companies and operates Kids@Best, a program
designed to educate kids about technology. Jordan will work
with the company on regional business opportunities and
community/philanthropic efforts (THE DAILY). BARRON's Mark
Veverka reports that Jordan is "expected to join" Divine's
BOD "in exchange for a pre IPO equity stake" in the company
and "perhaps stakes in some of" Divine's individual Internet
companies." Divine was launched last summer by former head
of software firm Platinum Technology Andrew "Flip"
Filipowski (BARRON'S, 3/13 issue). In Chicago, Rob Kaiser
reports that Divine "hopes to raise as much as" $460M in the
IPO, which will "likely take place in April," and "plans to
invest in on-line business-to-business companies and
Internet infrastructure firms" (CHICAGO TRIBUNE, 3/14).
