PGA Tour Commissioner Tim Finchem tells the BOSTON
GLOBE's Gregg Krupa that Boston, St. Louis, Seattle and
Minneapolis/St. Paul "are all valued as potential new stops"
on the PGA Tour (BOSTON GLOBE, 2/10)....With the "exception"
of the Rapids, every MLS team "will have new uniforms" this
season. Teams will "no longer have different colors based
on the same design," and each team will "get its own look, a
fashion move requested" by the league and teams. The AP
also notes that the pinstripes on the uniforms "are gone."
MLS Licensing Dir Peter Sparaco: "We're getting back to the
world's game. The looks are consistent to what the rest of
[the] world looks like" (AP, 2/10)....MLB Commissioner Bud
Selig said he "completed somewhere between five and six
hours of testimony" yesterday during a hearing on the appeal
of MLB's suspension of Braves P John Rocker. One source
said that Braves President Stan Kasten also "testified about
the effects" Rocker's remarks in SI had on the Braves (AP,
2/9)....In Miami, Barry Jackson writes that the Heat are
having "second thoughts about whether to apply" for a future
All-Star Game at AmericanAirlines Arena. Heat President of
Business Operations Jay Cross said that he's "not sure how
aggressively" the team will "pursue an All-Star Game because
the NBA controls much of the premium seating, and it might
be difficult to accommodate the Heat's premium seat holders"
(MIAMI HERALD, 2/10)....In Grand Rapids, MI, Gary Bond wrote
that the XFL is "slowly dying as we speak." Bond, on WWF
Chair Vince McMahon: "He's wrestling a big challenge here,
one he can't fake his way around. Plus, McMahon has an
image problem he needs to clean up. All this adds up to one
