FACILITY NOTES

MA House Speaker Thomas Finneran said yesterday that he
was "puzzled by the lack of details coming from the Red Sox
on financing plans for a new Fenway Park." Finneran: "When
is this dance going to begin?" (BOSTON HERALD, 2/10).
...Camden County (NJ) officials announced plans yesterday to
build a $50M arena in an effort to land a minor league
hockey team, most likely in the UHL. Construction on the
6,000-to 10,000-seat facility is "expected to begin" in
September and will take two years to complete (AP,
2/10)....A New Orleans TIMES-PICAYUNE editorial noted that
attendance figures at New Orleans Arena, which opened in
October, "have come in almost [80%] over what officials said
they were expecting." More than 303,000 people have
attended events at the arena (New Orleans TIMES-PICAYUNE,
2/8)....Construction on the Bengals' $407M Paul Brown
Stadium "is on schedule despite a recent snow" (CINCINNATI
POST, 2/9)....In Green Bay, Scott Hildebrand writes that
Packers officials "have rejected the idea" of selling naming
rights to Lambeau Field in order to raise money for the
facility's renovation. But the team "may pursue" naming
deals for a proposed five-story atrium at the stadium and
for several entrances (GREEN BAY PRESS-GAZETTE, 2/10).
