FRESH FROM ATLANTA: FREAK INKS DEALS; PLAYERS GO ON VIDEO

Access Sports President Arthur Bernier announced that
his FL-based company has signed a marketing representation
deal with Titans DL Jevon Kearse (Access Sports)....Kearse
and Rams WR Ricky Proehl have signed Super Bowl signature
deals with RealLegends.com and will donate some of their
game-used gear to be auctioned off to charity on the site
(RealLegends)....Rams QB Kurt Warner and Titans QB Steve
McNair are featured in a full-page "Got Milk?" ad in USA
TODAY (1/28)....In N.Y., Joshua Harris Prager reports that
Greg Rosen's "one-man company," Meeting Street Promotions,
is providing seat cushions for the Super Bowl for the third
time. Seat cushions have "been granted their own
sponsorship category at the Super Bowl." Rosen's cushions
"will carry only the Super Bowl XXXIV logo, not a
corporation's," but "promotional products from five other"
game sponsors, including Southwest Airlines, UPS and E-
Trade, will be "stuffed into a pocket" of each cushion (WALL
STREET JOURNAL, 1/28)....In St. Louis, Tim O'Neil writes
that the "crown of hype" of Super Bowl sponsorships "goes to
Coke," the "presenting sponsor" of The NFL Experience.
Meanwhile, NFL sponsor Miller Brewing has two booths at The
Experience, while A-B is "barred." But the two companies
"do their straight-up competing outside," as A-B has "rented
a parking lot next to" Centennial Olympic Park to unveil its
new "Budweiser Ultimate Experience" exhibit (ST. LOUIS POST-
     DISPATCH, 1/28)....NFLP will use FL-based Entry Media's
Turnstile AdSleeve Armcovers at The NFL Experience. Coca-
Cola is the sponsor of the armcover (Entry Media).
PLAYIN' AROUND: Last night in Atlanta, 989 Sports
hosted the fifth annual "Game Before the Game" featuring
Rams RB Marshall Faulk and Titans TE Frank Wycheck going
head-to-head in the recently released NFL GameDay 2000. The
event is part of the company's title sponsorship of the NFL
Players Party. 989 Sports Dir of PR & Promotions Helene
Sheeler told THE DAILY last night the Players Party
sponsorship is the biggest sporting event in which the
company is involved. Sheeler: "We're always looking at what
activities those leagues and players associations are doing
that makes them interesting to be involved with. ... This
party just sounded perfect." Sheeler, on exposure from the
Players Party: "The fans will be seeing the players and
they'll be playing our games" (THE DAILY). Meanwhile,
Falcons RB Jamal Anderson hosted EA Sports' sixth annual
Madden Bowl in Atlanta last night. Fifteen NFL players, as
well as Mets OF Derek Bell, participated in a tournament of
the "Madden NFL 2000" video game. The winning player, 49ers
RB Terry Jackson, will be featured in game material next
year (THE DAILY). Jets WR Keyshawn Johnson, on the NFL's
banning of the "throat slashing" gesture: "The NFL, at
times, contradicts themselves because of video games. They
have video games with dancing, throat slashing, things of
that nature, so they have to go back and do some research
and understand when you ban something like that, make sure
you ban it completely" ("The Last Word," FSN, 1/27).
