AS CBA ALL-STAR GAME TIPS OFF, ISIAH HAS EYES ON EXPANSION

The 18th CBA All-Star Classic will be held tonight in
Sioux Falls, SD, with the inaugural CBA rookie game at
6:00pm ET and the All-Star Game at 8:05pm ET. Gateway is
title sponsor of the event (CBA). The CBA relaunched its
Web site at www.cbahoops.com, and tonight's event will be
shown via Webcast for the first time in league history.
Enlighten Sports handled the Web site redesign (CBA).
A MATTER OF TIME: CBA Senior VP/Basketball Operations
Brendan Suhr told the IDAHO STATESMAN's Derek Samson that
the league "expects to add" six to 12 teams by next season.
Suhr noted that the CBA "will place" teams in the Northwest
to "ease travel expenses" for the Stampede and Yakima (WA)
Sun Kings. Expansion could also take place in the Northeast
and Midwest, but the CBA "isn't talking with any cities in
the Southeast or Southwest" (IDAHO STATESMAN, 1/18).
