WERE SOME NFL OWNERS NOT SAD TO SEE LADY MADONNA PULL OUT?

News that Madonna won't perform at the Super Bowl due
to "scheduling problems" should be taken with a "grain of
salt," according to Neal Travis of the N.Y. POST, who heard
"there has been grumbling from conservative NFL owners that
her image isn't one the league should promote." Some NFL
"types" have been in town for the Jets sale, and Travis
quotes one as saying, "At a time when we are being referred
to as the National Felons League, she's not right for us."
But Madonna's spokesperson Liz Rosenberg said NFL execs were
"unbelievably enthusiastic about having her. They undid the
whole show to put her in" (N.Y. POST, 1/14).
