REGIS EYES FOOTBALL "MILLIONAIRE"; NHL TEAMS W/NICKELODEON

On "ET," Bob Goen reported that "Who Wants To Be A
Millionaire?" host Regis Philbin and Exec Producer Michael
Davies are planning special theme shows, including a Super
Bowl show with "questions focusing only on football, airing
the night before the big game" ("ET," 1/11).
A GAS, GAS, GAS: DAILY VARIETY's Paula Bernstein
reports that Nickelodeon's digital network -- Games and
Sports for Kids (GAS) -- has formed a "programming
development partnership" with the NHL. Nick's GAS and the
NHL "will be looking at developing original programming
based on NHL outreach programs." A half-hour game show
based on NHL Breakout, the league's hockey tournament and
festival, is "in development." The partnership will also
give GAS "access to NHL game footage and behind-the-scenes
access to NHL events." Plans are "under way to produce
special 'All Access GAS' programming blocks featuring"
hockey events. In May, GAS signed similar separate deals
with the NBA, MLB and MLS (DAILY VARIETY, 1/12).
