about an endorsement deal he has if he can't play in the

Dominator line of clothing and a book that could be affected

deal worth "six figures," Pete Rose "will appear in six to
eight different" TV ads for Maaco auto body and paint

ADDITIONAL MARKETING NOTES: ABC has "rejected" a 7UP ad
for the net's Super Bowl lineup "amid objections over
content." The spot featured comedian Orlando Jones wearing
a T-shirt with the words "Make 7" on the front and "Up
Yours" on the back. ABC is putting another 7UP spot in the
same time slot (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 12/21)....Atlanta-based
AutoTrader.com, a classified ad site for used cars, will
advertise during the third quarter of the Super Bowl (AD
AGE, 12/20)....The Interpublic Group has "agreed to acquire"
market research firm NFO Worldwide in a "stock deal valued
around" $580M (REUTERS, 12/20).
