END OF AN ERA? JAZZ OWNER DENIES REPORT OF TEAM ON BLOCK

Jazz Owner Larry Miller disputed a report by Frank
Hughes on ESPN.com that had him selling the franchise to UT
billionaire industrialist Jon Huntsman, "perhaps as soon as
in two years" (ESPN.com, 12/10). Miller: "There's zero
substance in the story. The guy who wrote it is
irresponsible. I don't know where it comes from." Hughes
responded, "I talked to three people, all of whom I trust.
I guess in a couple years we'll find out if it's the case or
not." Miller said that he "talks regularly" with Huntsman,
but they "have never discussed" a deal. Miller said that if
he ever sold the team, he would "feel obligated to give" one
of his sons a chance to run it (DESERET NEWS, 12/11).
