EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

          Sports Illustrated Associate Publisher/Advertising
     Sales Dir FABIO FREYRE was named Publisher; SI For Kids and
     SI For Women Group Publisher CLEARY SIMPSON was named Exec
     VP of SI and Time Inc. VP/Customer Marketing SHAUN GURL was
     named SI VP/Consumer Marketing.  Gurl replaces BRIAN WOLFE,
     who was recently appointed President of American Family
     Enterprises (SI)....Broadband Sports formally named JOHN
     COLLINS as VP/New Media (see THE DAILY, 11/16).  Collins was
     Senior VP/Television Programming and Sponsorship Sales at
     the NFL (Broadband Sports)....Clippers Dir of Communications
     JILL WIGGINS will leave the team "at the end of the month"
     to take a "similar position" with the Portland WNBA team
     (L.A. TIMES, 11/23)....DANIEL YORK was named Senior
     VP/Programming/Development & Event Acquisitions at Viewer's
     Choice.  York "will also assist" Viewer's Choice Senior
     VP/Distribution/Product Development ROB JACOBSON on the
     "acquisition and management of sports packages" (HOLLYWOOD
     REPORTER, 11/24)....Former CT Gov. LOWELL WEICKER, former
     CBS Sports President DAVID KENIN and WWF TV consultant JOE
     PERKINS were named to the WWFE BOD.  The  post pays more
     than $25,000 a year and includes options to buy 25,000
     shares of WWFE stock (STAMFORD ADVOCATE, 11/23).
