ON THE PROWL: GREENSBORO AF2 FRANCHISE REVEALS NAME, LOGO

Greensboro's af2 expansion franchise will be called the
"Prowlers" after "a product" of corporate sponsor Chrysler,
according to Angela Clare of the Greensboro NEWS & RECORD,
who noted that the team will play eight home games at the
Greensboro Coliseum beginning in April 2000. The team's
three-year financial agreement with the Coliseum gives the
facility a percentage of the team's profits "rather than a
set lump sum." The Prowlers will pay $5,500 per game and
10% of the profits of more than $50,000. The Coliseum "will
receive all parking proceeds" and 75% of concession sales,
with the final 25% "going to the team." Team co-Owner Art
Donaldson said ticket sales need to reach 6,000-7,000 for
the team's owners to break even (NEWS & RECORD, 11/12).
