CBC EXEC LEAVING TO COORDINATE FOX SPORTS' NHL COVERAGE

Longtime CBC exec and Dir of the network's 2000 Olympic
coverage in Sydney DOUG SELLARS is leaving to join Fox
Sports Net, according to William Houston of the Toronto
GLOBE & MAIL. Sellars will head up FSN's NHL game coverage.
Houston reports that "although Sellars said his departure
has nothing to do with money, his salary increase will be
significant." He has been earning about C$125,000 per year
at the CBC, but at Fox, he is "expected to be paid about"
US$250,000 (GLOBE & MAIL, 11/12). Sellars will oversee
FSN's NHL coverage in 18 markets across the U.S. Sellars:
"They have two co-ordinating producers looking after
(baseball, NBA and the NHL). Their wish was to create a
third person so they could have one person dedicated to each
sport. I think there was a sense that hockey wasn't getting
the attention it deserved" (TORONTO SUN, 11/12).
