WHAT DRAWS SPONSORS TO THESE GAMES? MAYBE IT WAS THE ROSES

Octagon is "seeking $350,000 to $500,000 for title
sponsorship of the Millrose Games, which it acquired from
IMG," according to Terry Lefton of BRANDWEEK. Octagon's
John Guppy said that "sponsor benefits include four units in
an NBC-televised highlights show, hospitality, tickets,
inclusion in an outdoor ad campaign preceding the event, and
branding on a new floor being purchased for the event."
Virtual signage is being considered (BRANDWEEK, 10/18).
GORGE IN THE JUNGLE: The Subaru Gorge Games will be
held July 8-15, 2000 at the Gorge River and Mt. Hood and be
televised on NBC on September 3 and 10. Both event Founder
Limitless Events & Marketing and Octagon Worldwide will
provide event and marketing support (Octagon).
