MAX-IMIZING THEIR OPPORTUNITY: JUMPING ON RYDER CUP WAGON

          Maxfli is launching a promotion around the U.S. Ryder
     Cup victory featuring a special limited edition Maxfli Tour
     Patriot golf ball, which will bear the signature of U.S.
     team captain Ben Crenshaw and the event's final score. 
     During the fourth quarter of this year, consumers will
     receive a free sleeve of three of the balls when they
     purchase a dozen at regular price and mail in the redemption
     form.  The promo will be supported via national print ads in
     GolfWeek and Golf World as well as POS materials (Maxfli).  
          THANK YOU AND CONGRATS: Spalding runs a full-page ad in
     the WALL STREET JOURNAL, which features copy written in the
     shape of a golf tee congratulating the members of the U.S.
     team who use the company's balls and equipment.  Buick, an
     official PGA Tour sponsor, runs a full-page ad in USA TODAY
     congratulating its spokesperson Crenshaw (THE DAILY).
