REPORT HAS TWINS/WILD DEAL LEADING TO NEW MN SPORTS NETWORK

The potential sale of the Twins to the group headed by
Wild President Jac Sperling "could be completed" before
Friday's deadline because Wild investors are "convinced it
can pick up a lot of additional revenue by replacing"
Midwest Sports Channel with its own RSN, according to Sid
Hartman of the Minneapolis STAR TRIBUNE. Hartman noted that
if the St. Paul ballpark referendum doesn't pass, "look for
the same ownership group to try to find a way to build a
ballpark in Minneapolis." St. Paul-based KSTP-ABC Owner and
Wild investor Stanley Hubbard is a "possible" Twins investor
and "might be the man to put the network together," and if
T'Wolves Owner Glen Taylor joins the Twins group as well,
the T'Wolves "would also be part of the network." But
Hartman wrote that the "big question" is whether Twins Owner
Carl Pohlad will sell the team, as Pohlad could remain part-
owner in order to remain a member of the MLB Exec Committee
and AL VP (Minneapolis STAR TRIBUNE, 9/26).
