NEW RSN, SPORTSWEST, INKS WITH NINE SCHOOLS FOR MORE CONTENT

          SportsWest, a new RSN which launched in eight western
     markets earlier this month and reaches an estimated five
     million homes, announced a broadcasting partnership with
     nine western schools yesterday to televise regional football
     and basketball games, according to Jorge Arangure of the
     Colorado Springs GAZETTE.  The schools include: Air Force,
     BYU, CO State Univ., UNLV, Univ. of NM, San Diego State,
     Univ. of WY, UT State and NM State.  KSL TV Group is the
     parent company of SportsWest (GAZETTE, 9/22).  During the
     '99-2000 seasons, SportsWest plans to televise the top seven
     available college football and 40 basketball games. 
     SportsWest added that starting in 2000, it will broadcast
     between 20-25 football games per season (SportsWest).
