EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

          CHARLIE LYONS resigned as Ascent Entertainment Group
     Chair & CEO.  CHUCK NEINAS will continue as acting Chair &
     CEO "until the positions are filled" (WALL STREET JOURNAL,
     8/24)....GIB CHAPMAN has left his post as Group Publisher of
     EMap Petersen's sports division, where he oversaw Sport
     magazine and NFL Insider (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 8/23
     issue)....PETE ARRICHIELLO, formerly with Muller Sports
     Group, was named as Corporate Marketing Dir for EMap
     Petersen's NFL magazines.  Also, SCOTT DICKEY has left
     Disney Regional Entertainment, where he was "marketing ESPN
     restaurants," for a "marketing slot" with Sundance
     Entertainment (BRANDWEEK, 8/23 issue)....In Edmonton, Mario
     Annicchiarico wrote that the Oilers "could face some cuts"
     as the team "attempts to lower costs," and "one name
     mentioned" was Assistant GM BRUCE MCGREGOR (EDMONTON SUN,
     8/22)....Saints Owner TOM BENSON has "torn up" President/GM
     BILL KUHARICH's contract and "given him a new, five-year
     deal" that will keep Kuharich through 2004 (USA TODAY,
     8/24)....CRAIG LEVRA has been named CEO of Sport Chalet. 
     Levra has been President and COO of the company since '97
     and will retain those titles (Sport Chalet).
