EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

          adidas-Salomon announced the following changes in
     conjunction with the formation of TMAG: MARK KING was named
     President of TMAG; BOB RIEF, formerly Nike Golf GM, was
     named VP/Global Marketing for soft goods; and MARK LEPOSKY,
     formerly Coca-Cola Dir of Strategic Alliances, was named
     VP/Worldwide Operations for all products in both brands. 
     TMG CFO PHILIPPE BARRET will continue as TMAG CFO, TIM EPP
     will remain as General Counsel & Corporate Secretary, and
     RIC LONG, previously AG President, will remain "as a key
     player" in the organization.  But TMAG eliminates the
     previous position of IMG President & CEO, and as a result,
     TMG President/CEO GEORGE MONTGOMERY has decided to leave "to
     pursue other opportunities" (TMAG).
          MORE EXECS: DAVID RONE, former VP/Business Development
     for Corporate Alliances at the Walt Disney Co., has joined
     Fox Sports Networks as Senior VP/Regional Network
     Development (FSN)....CFL Argos President and Blue Jays Exec
     VP & COO BOB NICHOLSON "officially stepped down" from both
     clubs yesterday.  He will remain with the Argos until the
     end of their season.  Meanwhile, the Blue Jays promoted
     VP/Marketing TERRY ZUK to Senior VP/Sales & Marketing and
     named STU HUTCHESON Senior VP/Finance & Operations (CP,
     8/20)....The English Premier League's 20 chairmen "voted
     unanimously" to offer Football League Chair RICHARD
     SCUDAMORE the position as League CEO.  IMG's ANDREW CROKER
     had also been a candidate for the position (FINANCIAL TIMES,
     8/20)....MARK GEDDIS resigned as the Marlins Dir of
     Communications (Marlins)....DWIGHT DRINKARD resigned as
     FedEx St. Jude Tournament Dir (COMM. APPEAL,
     8/19)....MERRILL SQUIRES resigned as Managing Partner &
     President of The Marketing Arm (The Marketing Arm).

TNT’s Stan Van Gundy, ESPN’s Tim Reed, NBA Playoffs and NFL Draft

On this week’s pod, SBJ’s Austin Karp has two Big Get interviews. The first is with TNT’s Stan Van Gundy as he breaks down the NBA Playoffs from the booth.
