GENERAL MILLS INKS TWO NEW DEALS WITH PAC-10, ROUSH RACING

          MN-based General Mills and Pac-10 Properties signed a
     deal under which the Pop Secret popcorn brand will be the
     "official microwave popcorn" of the Pac-10 conference,
     according to a report in AD AGE.  General Mills will use the
     deal to promote the "Ten Pack," which is a "new extension"
     of the Pop Secret line.  Length and value of the deal were
     not disclosed (AD AGE, 8/20).  Pop Secret has a banner ad
     placed at the top of the home page on the official Pac-10
     conference Web site (THE DAILY).  Also, General Mills has
     joined with Roush Racing to promote the "Box Tops for
     Education" program, with Roush drivers and team Owner Jack
     Roush  appearing on Cheerios brands boxes from August
     through October supporting the effort (SPEEDNET, 8/20).
