EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

          The AP's Bert Rosenthal writes that despite rumors of
     "poor health and repeated complaints about his autocratic
     style," the IAAF will reelect PRIMO NEBIOLO for a sixth term
     today (DETROIT NEWS/AP, 8/18)....Expos VP Sales & Marketing
     RICHARD MORENCY has resigned, effective August 31.  In
     Montreal, Jack Todd writes that Morency's "departure was not
     a surprise."  The Expos also announced that Exec VP LAURIER
     CARPENTIER will also "be leaving when his mandate expires"
     August 31 (Montreal GAZETTE, 8/18)....BARBARA DOUGLAS was
     named Nat'l Minority Golf Foundation President.  Douglas
     will succeed LEWIS HORNE JR. on October 1.  Douglas has been
     NMGF VP since August '97 (GOLFWEEK, 8/14 issue)....ESPN
     Magazine named IAN SPANIER Senior Photo Editor.  He was
     Deputy Photo Editor for Esquire (ESPN Magazine). 
          CORRECTION: Chicago-based Intersport named DAVID DICK
     to Programming Development (THE DAILY).
