          Lakers coach PHIL JACKSON "claims" that he will wear a
     "BILL BRADLEY for President" button "at all Lakers' games,"
     but that his appearance at Bradley's fund-raiser in Chicago
     Tuesday night was his "last stumping with Bill" (CHICAGO
     SUN-TIMES, 7/29)....Spurs C DAVID ROBINSON and Redskins DB
     DARRELL GREEN are the recipients of The Sporting News' (TSN)
     first annual "Good Guys Award."  Robinson and Green, along
     with 97 other Good Guys in the MLB, NBA, NFL and NHL will be
     featured in TSN's August 2 issue (TSN)....Bills QB DOUG
     FLUTIE and his band, The Flutie Gang, are working on a 10-
     song CD scheduled for release this fall by Frequency
     Records.  Part of the proceeds from the album will benefit
     the DOUG FLUTIE JR. FOUNDATION FOR AUTISM.  Flutie plays the
     drums (DEMOCRAT & CHRONICLE, 7/29)....PAUL ALLEN's Charter
     Communications is eyeing a possible IPO, as it seeks to
     raise "as much as" $3.45B. The funds will be used to
     "finance proposed acquisitions" as well as repay part of
     Charter's $10.4B debt (SEATTLE P-I, 7/29).
