HICKS MUSE CONTINUES LATIN STRATEGY W/TRAFFIC BUILDUP

          Hicks Muse Tate & Furst has acquired 49% of Traffic SA,
     a Brazilian company "with broadcast, cable and pay-per-view
     rights to some key Latin American soccer events," according
     to Jill Goldsmith of DAILY VARIETY.  The company's portfolio
     includes rights to Mercosur Cup, the Copa America, the
     Brazilian Championships and the World Cup qualifying
     tournament for Latin America.  Hicks Muse said the deal is
     "a key step in its global sports investment strategy and
     reinforces its presence as a Latin American media investor"
     (DAILY VARIETY, 7/28). The Muller Sports Group, Hicks Muse's
     management affiliate for sports-related investments, will
     join current execs in the management of Traffic (Hicks).
