FACILITY NOTES

More than $137M in bonds will go on sale next Wednesday
to finance the new Broncos stadium, with another $105M
"expected to hit the market two weeks later." The insured
bonds will carry a AAA rating, and "are expected to be in
strong demand." Hanifen, Imhoff Inc. Chair Walter Imhoff,
whose company, along with Prudential Securities, is a
principal bond underwriter and will help sell the bond: "I
feel very positive. They're short term -- only 12 years vs.
20 years for school bond issues. And there will be a high
demand for the bonds, particularly with the high credit
rating." Interest rates are "expected to average" 5%
(DENVER POST, 7/14)....In Chicago, Fran Spielman writes that
the Bears' plan to remodel Soldier Field "would create
lakefront green space by replacing surface parking lots with
costlier underground garages." Chicago Mayor Richard Daley
said that "he's all for the 'concept' of underground
parking, but he refused to say how he would pay for it"
(CHICAGO SUN-TIMES, 7/14)....In Cincinnati, Hamilton County
officials "made it clear Tuesday that the county won't pay
to convert the artificial turf to natural grass" for the
Reds' remaining 3 1/2 years at Cinergy Field. Hamilton
County Commissioner Bob Bedinghaus: "If the Reds wanted to
change the surface and pick up the cost, we would certainly
let them do that." The Royals converted Kauffman Stadium in
     '95 for "about" $1.5M (CINCINNATI ENQUIRER, 7/14).
