IN OAKLAND, SILVER AND BLACK (AND BLUE) OVER PSL SALES?

The number of renewals for Raiders PSLs "is expected to
drop by about 1,500 for the upcoming season," as "the PSL
bleeding continues for the Raiders," according to Bonita
Brewer of the CONTRA COSTA TIMES. Last year, 4,400 fans
"forfeited" their 10-year PSLs, but Oakland Football
Marketing Association Dir Richard Rogers said that the team
is "expecting much higher renewal than in past years in
terms of percentage." The PSL renewal drop means that the
"public bailout" of the city's deal to bring the team to
Oakland "will continue this season." But Rogers is hopeful
that the sale of single-game tickets will "more than make
up" for the lost PSL fees (CONTRA COSTA TIMES, 7/11).
