EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

          ESPN named SPENCE KRAMER as Dir of Advertising &
     Program Marketing.  Kramer, previously Senior VP & GM at
     L.A.-based Grey Entertainment, will be responsible for on-
     air and off-channel advertising and marketing of various
     ESPN properties.  ESPN also named TORI STEVENS as Dir of
     ESPN Enterprises & Synergy, responsible for brand extension
     activities for ESPN Zone, ESPN The Store and other ESPN-
     branded consumer products. Stevens was The Boston Consulting
     Group Project Manager and consultant (ESPN).
          OTHER MOVES: The Chargers named Univ. of the Pacific AD
     MICHAEL MCNEELY as VP & COO (S.D. UNION TRIBUNE, 6/22).
     Foote, Cone & Belding VP BOB DORFMAN was named Exec Creative
     Dir for S.F.-based Pickett Communications. Dorfman had spent
     10 years with FCB (Pickett)....Stride Rite announced that
     JOANNA JACOBSON, President of its Keds division, will resign
     in mid-July, but has agreed to continue to serve as a
     consultant to the company (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 6/22).
