FRANCHISE NOTES

Kings Dir of Ticket Sales Barry Gibson said that during
the Kings victory over the Jazz in Game Two on Monday night,
"my staff and I were in the office taking calls from a
couple hundred fans wanting to put deposits on season
tickets for next year. Once we won the game, we got an
additional 100 calls" (SAC. BEE, 5/12)....In St. Paul,
Charley Walters writes that "word" at the Target Center is
that former T'Wolves G Stephon Marbury "sought" four front-
row seats for the Spurs-T'Wolves Game Three last night, and
that the T'Wolves weren't "eager to assist" (PIONEER PRESS,
5/14). Also in Minneapolis, Steve Aschburner notes that
there were empty seats at the Target Center and "fans even
booed the Wolves at the end of the first half" (STAR
TRIBUNE, 5/14)....In Salt Lake, Karl Cates profiles Jazz
VP's Dave Allred, Grant Harrison and Jay Francis and writes
that they "are compensated rather well in some ways by
Utah's corporate standards, though they may lag many other
front offices around the league" (SALT LAKE TRIBUNE, 5/14).
