IMG and ABC Sports "plan to announce" today an 18-hole, prime-time exhibition match between David Duval and Tiger Woods at Sherwood Country Club in CA on August 2. The winner will receive $1.1M, with a portion of the earnings going to the players' charity and The First Tee program (Mult., 5/8). The SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL's Andy Bernstein reports that ABC is currently marketing sponsorship packages around the event and that Woods' "backers" AmEx and Rolex are "expected to get the first crack" at deals (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 5/10).
