          The FINANCIAL TIMES' Geoff Dyer writes that Hicks,
     Muse, Tate & Furst will invest about $59M over the first
     year of its deal to manage the business activities of
     Brazil's Corinthians Soccer Club.  Corinthians execs said
     the deal is for 10 years (FINANCIAL TIMES, 4/30)....The NHL
     Thrashers will play their inaugural exhibition game against
     the Predators September 11 at the 7,000-seat Columbus (GA)
     Civic Center (ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, 4/30)....Mario Lemieux
     "spent part of yesterday talking" to Brian Cuban, brother of
     Broadcast.com co-Founder Mark Cuban, about "investing in the
     team" (POST-GAZETTE, 4/30)....Browns President Carmen
     Policy, on the proposed Redskins sale to Daniel Snyder:
     "From what I read and have heard, it seems to be on track
     ... it sounds like everything is in order" (WASHINGTON POST,
     4/30)....The Senators will "lose less than the anticipated"
     C$7M this year after hosting two playoff games (OTTAWA SUN,
     4/30)....After being polled by the team, Heat season-ticket
     holders "overwhelmingly voted to retain" the 7:30pm ET game
     start time, instead of shifting to 7:00pm ET, when moving
