MEDIA NOTES

          In St. Paul, Charley Walters writes that KSTP-ABC has
     purchased broadcasting rights for Vikings exhibition games
     in a deal valuing this season's games at $125,000 each and
     games in 2000 and 2001 at $150,000 each.  The station will
     also pay $65,000 a year for 21 weeks of a post-game show
     (ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS, 4/29)....Spurs F Andrew Gaze,
     currently on the injured list, will serve as an analyst for
     tonight's TV coverage of the Spurs-Grizzlies game on KRRT-
     UPN (SAN ANTONIO EXPRESS NEWS, 4/29)....Pam Shriver will
     join HBO Sports as a reporter and analyst for the network's
     Wimbledon '99 coverage (HBO).
