to allow satellite broadcasters to transmit signals from
local TV stations. U.S. Rep. Billy Tauzin (R-LA) says that

with cable, so consumers can have a real choice" (USA TODAY,
4/28)....CNN/SI's Peter King tells USA TODAY's Michael
Hiestand that ABC "contacted" John Elway through his agent
"weeks ago to express interest in him" for its "MNF" void.

'MNF'" (USA TODAY, 4/28)....Comcast SportsNet's broadcast of
Game Three of the Maple Leafs-Flyers Stanley Cup Playoffs
Quarterfinals on Monday scored an overnight rating of 7.2,

DMA (Comcast)....Fox Sports World will distribute 17 games
from Copa America via PPV, but "unlike previous" Copa
America tournaments, the final game will "not be part of"

finals. The tournament will retail for $14.95 per game, or
