SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW ... THERE'LL BE NO BEER

Performance PR Plus' Kymberly Brantigan, who represents
Jeff Gordon, told Rea McLeroy of the RICHMOND TIMES-
DISPATCH, that Gordon chooses "whether or not" to appear in
advertisements for companies. Brantigan: "He doesn't just
endorse any product. It's something he has to believe in.
You'll never see him do a beer commercial. ... He won't end
up doing anything that's too far-fetched or could make the
sponsor look bad. With the level of sponsors we're dealing
     with, it isn't a problem" (RICHMOND TIMES-DISPATCH, 4/27).
          A GREAT FINISH: MN-based 3M Automotive Aftermarket
Division has been designated as the "Officially Licensed
Automotive Refinish Supplies" of NASCAR (NASCAR)....MD-based
uniform leasing and first-aid services company Textilease
Corp. will title sponsor the June 12 Busch Grand National
event at the South Boston Speedway in VA. The race will be
called the "Textilease Medique 300" (Chesapeake Mtrsports).
