MLB ON THE WEB: BBW'S TOP SITES; BELLE'S FINANCIAL TIPS

USA TODAY BASEBALL WEEKLY profiles the Web sites of
each MLB team in its current issue and lists the Dodgers,
D'Backs, Giants, Astros and Blue Jays as its "Top Five"
(BASEBALL WEEKLY, 4/14 issue). In Toronto, Angus Frame
writes that the "home-run king of baseball sites has to be"
majorleaguebaseball.com, which offers "a complete serving of
up-to-date statistics, as well as live audio broadcasts of
every game played in the majors" (GLOBE & MAIL, 4/15).
....The WALL STREET JOURNAL's David Sweet examines Orioles
RF Albert Belle's personal site at www.athletedirect.com,
writing that Belle "appears chatty and financially savvy at
his new page." The site features, "Bank on Belle," which
offers weekly portfolio advice with Belle saying, "I'm not a
financial guru or anything." Belle suggests buying stock in
Microsoft and recommends buying up "a speculative investment
such as an Internet company" (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 4/15).
