          The 76ers will give away up to 5,000 "Alien Iversons,"
     a "twisted version" of Beanie Babies and a "parody" of G
     Allen Iverson, to children 12 and under who attend Friday's
     game at the First Union Center against the Pacers.  76ers
     VP/Marketing & Operations Dave Coskey said a friend of
     Iverson's told the 76ers G of the doll, "It looks just like
     you!" (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 4/12 issue).  Iverson: "I
     hope it is not supposed to look exactly like me" (USA TODAY,
     4/14)....NY-based Waterhouse Securities will title sponsor
     the Senior PGA Tour event in K.C. scheduled for September 3-
     5.  Waterhouse Exec VP/Marketing Randy Miller: "We've taken
     on a sports marketing effort, and this is the first leg of
     the effort" (K.C. STAR, 4/14)....PA-based music retailer
     National Record Mart (NRM) has signed with the WWF, which
     will give NRM TV exposure and the rights to sell WWF music
     online (Pittsburgh POST-GAZETTE, 4/14).
          RACIN': Nieman Marcus Direct men's spring catalog
     features the Mark Martin-driven No. 6 Valvoline Roush Racing
     Winston Cup Ford Taurus for $125,000.  The buyer will also
     receive VIP tickets to an upcoming Winston Cup race and "a
     bunch of Valvoline" (USA TODAY, 4/14)....CART is launching
     "Dinner a la CART," which includes FSIs in more than 40
     million Sunday newspapers this week that will give readers a
     chance to win a meal prepared by CART drivers Dario
     Franchitti, Christian Fittipaldi and Tony Kanaan.  MI-based
     Valassis Communications and IL-based Marketing Events
     created the promo and will execute for CART (CART).
