Disney will open its second ESPN Zone theme-restaurant in Chicago on July 10, according to J. Linn Allen of the CHICAGO TRIBUNE. The 35,000-square-foot, bi-level sports bar and entertainment center will have a capacity of "about" 750. The first ESPN Zone opened in Baltimore's Inner Harbor last July (CHICAGO TRIBUNE, 3/5). In Chicago, Mary Ellen Podmolik writes that ESPN Zone will have 165 TV monitors, a radio studio and TV broadcasting facilities. Analysts expect ESPN Zones to generate $100M in revenue within the next decade (CHICAGO SUN-TIMES, 3/5). In Milwaukee, Doris Hajewski writes that another ESPN Zone will open in N.Y.'s Times Square this summer. ESPN anchor Stuart Scott was in Chicago for the Zone kickoff event (JOURNAL SENTINEL, 3/5).
