          NATO ACTION: In response to the NATO military action
     against Yugoslavia, the INT'L TENNIS FEDERATION will hold
     the first round of April's Federation Cup in the U.S.
     instead of in Croatia (N.Y. TIMES, 3/31).  The RUSSIAN
     WOMEN'S NATIONAL VOLLEYBALL TEAM cancelled its five-match
     series against the U.S. scheduled for April because of a
     "strained relationship" between the two governments over the
     conflict in KOSOVO (USA Volleyball).

     LARRY WOODWARD about representing the player.  Hardy, on

     a one-on-one basis per day (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 3/31).
     ...Former Wizards C GHEORGHE MURESAN is featured in a music
     video by rapper EMINEM (S.F. CHRONICLE, 3/30)......CAMMI
     GRANATO and Bruins President HARRY SINDEN were honored at
     the LESTER PATRICK AWARDS LUNCHEON yesterday in Boston.  In
     Providence, Ed Duckworth writes that "you have to give
     Sinden his due" for consistently putting competitive teams
     on the ice for the past "27 years" (Prov. JOURNAL, 3/31).
